What is the difference between poster paint and acrylic paint?

Acrylic paint is made of acrylic polymers. It dries into a plastic film.





Poster paint is mostly pigment and water. No plastic in it.What is the difference between poster paint and acrylic paint?

Poster paint is translucent and is thinner. Acrylic paint can be used thick or thin and can be built up in thick layers and textures that poster paint can't.
