I am a master nail tech for Creative Nails and an overlay only means you have acrylic over your natural nail. No tips or sculptured addition on to the end of your natural nails. If the length you have is good then just get an overlay..What is an acrylic over lay?
If you have long, not so strong nails that you want to preserve an acrylic over lay will help them because they are putting a coat of acrylic over your nails making them more tough. You will have to get fill ins just like a full set though.
i think its acrylic(fake) nails put on over your natural nails but its the same length as the acrylic.
