Will Acrylic paint work well on paper mache, vs. poster paint?

You might want to cut it with a medium like a glaze or sealer at the same time. You might want to try making like a special soup ( that 's what I call it) when i do paper mache stuff.





Clear gloss or sealer I prefer high gloss


glitter


and a touch of gold metallic .

yeah..acrylic paint will work much better than poster paint on paperMache,


you see,poster paint will be absorbed easily into the paperMache because u need to mix it wit water..but acrylic paint saves you the trouble and it even has a sort-of-plastic/slightly glossy-finish..
Acrylic paint should work great. I don't like poster paint because it dries out and cracks after awhile, but acrylic should do the trick.
Yes! Acrylic paint is water-based, like poster paint, but it is much more opaque and quite permanent, unlike poster paint which will run is it gets wet.





Acrylics dry very fast, too, so often that is an advantage, although you must work fast with it.
