How do I use Acrylic paint? ?

And when i say 'use' I mean do I need to add water or something? I already have a little bottle of it...I just dont know how to paint with it.How do I use Acrylic paint? ?
You can use it in many ways!

- It can be used straight out of the tube/bottle, which will usually give quite a thick, opaque quality.

- You can mix it with water if you want to make it thinner - this will be a 'wash' which is fairly similar to the effect you get with watercolours.

- There are also different 'mediums' you can add to achieve certain finishes, for example gloss or matt

- and, of course, you can mix it up with different acrylic colours!

Best thing to do is just experiment with it and get a feel for the medium. Happy painting :)How do I use Acrylic paint? ?
Try '; Wet canvas'; site It has some great forums on there for various Painting techniques. Good Luck
Who said anything about painting with it?

...you can throw it, water it down and drip it, mix it with sand and grind it, melt it or light it on fire, and even freezing it. You could create some really cool effects with a painting by messing around with it. Let you cat walk across a painting.

I did that once and the resualt was profound!

Fact is, many artists through out history have become extremely famous because of accidents. Just take a look at Jackson Pollock, even though he worked with oils, he played with the consistency of paint. Where on Earth did he get his ideas? When you work with acrylics or any other paint for that matter,...Art is freedom.
