Will it harm your nails if you get acrylic nails just once?

I'm going to get acrylic nails done for the first time today, and i was wondering if i have them for a few weeks then get them taken off will it really damage my nails? thank you so much!!!Will it harm your nails if you get acrylic nails just once?
You may have some temporary damage to your nails when you have the acrylic nails removed, but just keep using lotion to keep your cuticle supple, and a nail strengthening polish on your nails as they will be pretty weak when the acrylics are removed and you should be fine. Will it harm your nails if you get acrylic nails just once?
I have had them also...they dont damage your nails as as such, but you must go to a professional to have them removed properly...oh yeah word of advice, the equipment that some of them may use to actually smooth your nail, it's like sanding the nail, can sometimes weaken your own nail...so the decision is yours, but they do look lovely when there done.
if you have them taken off by the Solon correctly they should not harm your nails. if you try to peel them off yourself, then you could do some damage.
Yes, they will damage your nails. All the machine filing weakens your nails and the acrylic weakens your nails.

I suggest you either do it an leave them on or don't do at all.
get then to take them off then you should have very little damage. dont peel them off yourself cause then you will have a mess on your hands ( no pun intended )
as long as you go to a reputable salon and have them removed at a salon as well there shouldn't be damage. but beware of the places that offer really cheap acrylics (like $30 and under) because they tend to use products of lesser quality and those alone can damage your nails.
no. just make sure they don't over file the top of your real nails to put them on and when you take them off, dissolve them in acetone - don't rip them off! After you remove them, condition your nails real well and cover with a good top coat until the filed or ';roughened'; area has grown out.
not really!! i have had them done quite a few times! after you have the nails removed just give your own nails a good file, moisturise and put a good nail strengthener nail polish on and they should be right as rain after a few weeks!
Any kind of artificial nails can damage your real ones, just like dyeing your hair. They have to file down the top of your nails to get a rough surface; it helps the glue adhere better. But nails grow out fast, so don't worry too much about it. If you want to get it done, then do it.

You might want to consider gel nails instead of acrylics. They look more natural, last just as long, and don't damage your nails as much.
no it wont damage them i had that question to and nothing happend to them the just look pretty if u take care of them unless ur a person whose just going to messing with ur nails as in bitting them or u get my point.
