What would be a better product for a kitchen sink..stainless steel or acrylic?

If acrylic..would it scratch easily. What would be a better product for a kitchen sink..stainless steel or acrylic?
Stainless steel is cheaper and easier to maintain.

Acrylic is 'fancier' but a PITA to maintain. Within a few years it will be scratched as well.

Enameled iron is best of all, but also very expensive. What would be a better product for a kitchen sink..stainless steel or acrylic?
Just the other day I was over my supervisor's house, she was showing me her updated kitchen...which included an acrylic sink. She mentioned how easily it stained....her husband had left a coffee cup overturned under a saucer left overnight and she still cannot get the stain out.....I believe she was told NOT to use bleach....she says she has to be very vigilant as to washing off dirty dishes and cleaning off the sink quickly each and every time she uses it.....sounds high maintenance to me!
Yikes, go with the stainless. We have enameled iron and it is totally scratched. I would put some sort of insulation on the bottom side as they tend to be noisy. Check other answers for the acrylic.
Stainless. They are right, way easier to maintain and depending on the quality of the sink, they are cheaper. Not to mention a stainless steel sink will always work with any kitchen design. Always.
yes, i say stainless steel- as nice as acrylic is, if u want practical then go for the steel. if ur kitchen is featured ont hose home furnishing magazines, then you'd probably pick acrylic
