I'm going to paint a large canvas with acrylic paints..but need to draw my design on the canvas first.?

I need to know what kind of pencil to draw the design on with. My artist friend said that some pencils may fade. I'll be covering up the pencil with paint. Any suggestions? ThanksI'm going to paint a large canvas with acrylic paints..but need to draw my design on the canvas first.?
use a pencil, may depend on type, ... 2h, Hb, 2b ... you could test on pallet or pallet paper, you only want basic outlines and paint the main details after,

Listen, I've done this before, I always use pencil, trust me, if you mess up you can erase it, just make the lines dark. With charcoal, you can't erase it, and I personally think charcoal bleeds 10 times more than graphite, graphite= pencil. And it's alot eaisier to use.
use the charcoal and then give it a wash with damp cloth (wipe down)

This will do 2 things for you

help with shading and get rid of any dust and excess charcoal we use the same technic for oils but wipe with thinners instead
Why not try charcoal. Light pencil lines shouldn't fade.
