i want to do them myself but dont know what is in the powder mix or the liquid help me plz.What is mixed to make acrylic nails?
The powder is called Acrylic Polymer. The liquid is called methylmethacrolate, or more commonly called Acrylic Monomer. They are both hydroxy functional and both contain ammonia salt of modified styrene. Where I live, there is a beauty surplus store called Sally's Beauty Supply, and it's very inexpensive. To do acrylics, you will also need buffers, files, topcoat, primer, glue, and tips. It isn't too bad once you get the hang of it. Hope it goes well for you!
