What is best for dying acrylic?

60% Nylon


30% Acrylic


8% Wool


2% Spandex

Natural fibers will accept dye and absorb it more so than synthetic fabrics.





Acrylic is a form of polyester. You won't get great results dying it, but since you're going from a lighter color to such a dark color, a couple applications should do the trick.





Just be prepared with the possibility of the outcome not being favorable. Anytime you dye a garment on your own its impossible to know if the results will be what you expect.
