What type of bathtub is better, acrylic or steel? Can't afford a cast iron or would go that route.

What company has the best, most affordable products, i.e. Kohler, American Standard, etc.?What type of bathtub is better, acrylic or steel? Can't afford a cast iron or would go that route.
I've had all three, cast iron, steel and acyrlic. Steel and cast iron both require hotter water because they stay cooler than acyrlic does. But, acyrlic does scratch much easier than both but has the advantage of being able to be made into any shape and the one I have now is a deep oval which is great for soaking. I find Kohler to be the gold standard in terms of their warranty and designs. What type of bathtub is better, acrylic or steel? Can't afford a cast iron or would go that route.
Acrylics are very good. I took mine out after 25 years only because of the almond color. Go with white.Kohler is a very good company. Just google bathtubs and you can get an idea of prices.
I like modern Kohler look. They have some pretty cool bath products.

Acrylic is better.
